Kamal Abbas, the founder of Egypt's Centre for Trade Union and Worker Services (CTUWS) is coming to the U.K. later this month.
If you can get to London or Liverpool, you can hear him speak and meet him.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to meet a leader of the new Egyptian workers' movement -- someone who has been on the front lines for more than two decades, who has suffered at the hands of the Mubarak regime and who now plays a leading role in the construction of an independent and democratic trade union movement in Egypt.
The meetings will take place as follows:
-
19 May, 18:00: Liverpool - Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Ranelagh Place, Liverpool L3 5UL - Please RSVP via Facebook
-
20 May, 18:30: London - Room G3, School of Oriental and African Studies, Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square - Please RSVP via Facebook
I look forward to seeing you there.
