an update concerning butwell:
EG preaching and outreach to skid row: I continue to preach Friday evenings at EG. Our community has grown to nearly 40 attendees weekly. We are currently being challenged by James, Jesus half brother. In addition we are working with pastor Patrick of the Jonah project to set up regular (monthly) outreaches to skid row, LA. Ministry focuses are: prayer needs, feeding the homeless and evangelism. Please contact me if you are interested in serving with us.
Flourish ministries: I am locally focused with Flourish on evangelism training and outreach. The new partnerships being explored are increasing and opportunity to share Jesus' gospel in new and exciting ways are "flourishing". Excuse the pun. I attend different outreach meetings and evangelism training with Craig on a regular basis.
Reasons for Hope, Inc: A dear friend of mine Carl Kerby who has just started Reasons for Hope is headed to Jamaica on Cruise with a Cause. (click it) I have been given opportunity to preach the gospel in the Jamaican public schools on this outreach. I need to raise 1,300.00 USD by May 30. This can happen with your help. The outreach is from May 30-June 5.
OM (Operation Mobilization): I have been speaking to OM about a staff position in regular short-term mission outreach and journalism. Please keep this in prayer as it is still developing. Stevein: I have been writing more regularly now to both encourage and move people (including myself) into action. It is this very reason the blog Stevein exists.
