We wanted to start out this issue with Coco!
Coco doesn't let anything slow her down, even with her injuries. Trying to keep her inactive while her injuries heal, has been most difficult, as she wants to be a normal, active pup. Playing with dog toys and bones helps to keep her busy, but getting into things and chewing is high on her list of fun things to do, such as eating Mom's daisies in the yard. She is independent and likes to explore the back yard, but when tired she has two dog pillows where she crashes for rest and quiet. Due to restricted activity, playing with the resident dogs has been limited, but she tries really hard to keep up with them. Coco loves to interact with people, with cuddling and tummy rubs at the top of her list. She is going to need work on commands and general puppy training as time goes on. We are looking at another hip surgery for Coco soon, but after that she will make someone or a family a great, energetic puppy. Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue is covering the cost for these surgeries. She can be adopted either before or after the surgery.

Success Story!
As Told by Zeak (formerly known as Alvin)
I cannot believe it has only been a month since I moved in with my new family. I of course am the ruler of the house and the “fun coordinator”. I have no idea what they did before I moved in. My new family tells me all the time how lucky they are to have me and I agree completely. I love to go for walks and chew on everything. I am trying to learn to be a constructive chewer which means only chewing on designated objects (toys, rawhides, bones) and not on my brother. We go to the mountains a lot and play in the snow that is left. My family tells me in the winter there will be more snow than I know what to do with. I cannot wait. I much prefer cold weather to the heat and snow is so fun to play in. I am learning to retrieve and I also learned to swim on one of our recent trips. The water was super cold but I am willing to do it again as long as my brother and sisters comes too. I love my new family and I am glad I make their lives complete. Thanks to Leanne and RMLR for bringing us together.

My dad calls me his baby boy he never had. He loves to cuddle with me and I love to give him lots of kisses.

As you can see Mom likes me too.
