Select Castle approached CIOTEK with the brief to create a modern, fresh website to replace their previous outdated site. Placement Scheme

My name is Lorena Kraus, I’m 18 years old an I’m doing a twelve week work-placement here at CIOTEK Limited. I just passed my final exams at the vocational school for business and foreign language professions in Bamberg (Bavaria, Germany) where I successfully trained to be a foreign language correspondent. I gain a lot of experience in the day to day business in an office because of all the different tasks that I have which are, for example, Market Research and completing work process documents. I’m sure this placement really drives me forward in finding the right job which is the next step to take when I’m back in Germany. This should, of course, be my next goal!

Top 5 Tips for Simple but Effective SEO for your Website

1. HTML Tags - Make sure your website has an effective and relevant Title tag and Meta Keywords and Description tags. Alt tags describing your images are also important not only for SEO but also for web usability.
2. Domain Name - A domain containing keywords can significantly help your website get ranked. If your feeling really outnumbered by the competition, why not create a completely unique domain name like CIOTEK?
3. Website Content - Don't get carried away cramming in as many keywords into your content as possible. Make sure you focus on writing for an actual person and not a search engine. People will stick around longer and are more likely to return if you provide them with some useful content.
4. Link Popularity – Increase the amount of external links to your website. Why not speak to associated companies about exchanging website links, register with online directories or set up links using social media pages.

Team News

On the 25th September approximately 4,000 runners competed in the Annual 10k race at Swansea Bay. Team CIOTEK (Jayne Smith and Chris Smith) both successfully completed the race in 55.47 and 50.41 respectively. The race is all part of the training leading up to the Cardiff Half Marathon on 16th October which Jayne and Chris will be running on behalf of the James Whale fund for Kidney Cancer, the UK’s leading specialist kidney cancer charity.
