NEW YEAR, NEW LOOK
The Backstage Studio has kicked off yet another year of Dance Education for the Tuscarawas Valley Area. This year, TBS (The Backstage Studio) has the opportunity to inspire, mold, strengthen, train, and teach more than 80 students ranging from our youngest dancers at age 3 to our senior dancers at age 18. We are fortunate enough to have a supporting parent base, always willing to help out in whatever way they can.
A new year has brought the studio a new look -the majority painted with love by current students and staff members several days before registration. We would like to thank all those that helped make the painting process fun and productive! Thank you!
As classes have begun, the painting process stalled. If you would like to volunteer to make any renovations, additions, or other contributions to the studio, please contact Julie.

Competition Groups in Full Swing
Competition Season got an early start this year, with many students showing up for summer classes to prepare more in advance and be more equipped to be successful at competition. This year there are 4 competing ensembles, several duets and solos, and a Starlight group soon to be added.
Senior Competition Members are preparing a Pretty Little Liars themed dance, while the Hip Hop group will be preparing a dance written by guest choreographer Nate Smith, who came during the summer and taught the ENTIRE song’s choreography in roughly 3 hours! Needless to say, the girls (and their teachers!) were exhausted by the end of the night. The intense concentration, and buckets of sweat were worth it.
There is no replacement for hard work and perseverance.

Tuition & Fees
Tuition is due at the beginning of the month on the 10th. You then have a 4 day grace period, after which your account will assess a $15 late fee.
Costume deposits have also been due. Please make sure that these have been paid for. The rate is $40 per student per class and they should already be applied to your account. If you have any questions, contact Ish.
