The PGA TOUR, on behalf of the International Federation of PGA Tours, and Accenture have announced that the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship will again be played at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain in Marana, Ariz., in 2012. The event, which is the first of four World Golf Championships of the season, has been played in the Tucson area since 2007 and at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain since 2009. The 2012 Accenture Match Play Championship is scheduled for Feb. 20-26.

$75 per day includes $10 in food and beverage in the exclusive Walter Hagen Club overlooking the 13th green offering many food options and 2 full bars for purchase
General Admission:
$25 per day for Monday and Tuesday
$45 per day for Wednesday-Friday
$35 per day for Saturday and Sunday

Kids Should Play Golf
Golf is one of the few sports that is firmly rooted in integrity. You won't find referees or umpires calling shots on the course as you do in so many other sports that kids play. Instead, the player is charged with policing his/her own game and accurately (and truthfully!) reporting the results. Furthermore, consideration and respect for a fellow player and the course itself is not only expected when playing golf but inherent elements of the game - allowing a faster group to play through, planning shot and club selection while walking to the next hole, being quiet while another plays, taking care of the course during play (repair ball marks and divots!). Of course golf is good exercise as well - of both the body and the brain - and it is a sport that your child will play no matter what age (there is no shortage of octogarians on golf courses!). It's a good skill to have for social purposes, and it is a sport activity that you and your child can share. Golf is a good sports choice for kids and the benefits of playing are seemingly limitless!
