Annual Ticket Auction
The University
ticket lottery results are now available online. If you got shut out, we have tickets available in the club ticket auction.
This year the club will have 50 tickets to the USC game in South Bend on October 22, a night game!
There will be two auctions, one for the Gold members (20 tickets total) and one for all other members (30 tickets total). We will be utilizing the Dutch auction method for each auction. This means that the lowest clearing price will be the price paid by all ticket applicants. For example, if 10 people bid $100, 10 people bid $90, and 10 people bid $85, and 10 people bid $80, the lowest amount that will clear all the tickets is $85, so each person that bid $85 and over will be given the opportunity to purchase the tickets at the clearing price. If the number of tickets subscribed in the Gold auction is less than the number of tickets available, the balance of the tickets will roll over to the general auction.
The minimum bid is $90. (Any funds paid in excess of the $70 face value+shipping will be directed to the club’s general fund and will be considered tax deductible.) Each member can bid for either 2 or 4 tickets. You must be a 2011-2012 dues paying member to participate. If you are not a member yet, please visit the “Join the Club” page on the website. All bids from non-members will be ignored. In the event that the clearing price has several bids at that value, and including these bids results in greater demand that tickets available, a random draw of the bids at the clearing value will be conducted to determine the winners
The Lottery is now open and will run through 6pm on Friday, August 12th. To bid, fill out the form below. You can bid as many times as you want, but your last bid will be the bid that is taken into account. The clearing price will be periodically announced via club communications, including the website, Facebook, and Twitter.
Winners will be notified by email with instructions to submit payment for the tickets. Payment for the winners must be completed by August 23rd. If payment is not received, the next person in the auction will be given the chance to purchase the tickets.
Tickets will be delivered to the address provided in the bid upon receipt of payment.
