Three of our biggest annual events are upon us and we wanted to make sure you had all the information!


See below for complete details on the following events.  The ND Atlanta website and Facebook page will be updated as events are finalized and posted throughout the summer and fall.

2011 UND Celebration

We are pleased to announce the details for our 2011 UND Celebration!  It will be held on July 27 from 6:30-8:30 PM at 103 West.  There will be a half hour of networking before starting the program at 7pm. Ticket prices are $31 and include hors d'oeuvres / beer / wine for the first hour.  Ticket sales conclude on Friday, July 22 and can be purchased via PayPal. There will be no ticket sales at the door.

Our speaker this year is Dolly Duffy, the new Executive Director of the Notre Dame Alumni Association. Dolly has big shoes to fill, as she is replacing Chuck Lennon, who retired as of the end of June, so come meet Dolly and hear about her vision for the Alumni Association in her new role!

Additionally, we are pleased that representatives from the Mendoza College of Business will also be joining us from campus! If you are a Mendoza graduate or are just interested in hearing about some of the strategy behind one of the best business schools in the nation, you won't want to miss this event!

Annual Membership Campaign

The Notre Dame Club of Atlanta is an extension of the Notre Dame Alumni Association dedicated to serving alumni in the Atlanta area. Specifically, the club acts as a conduit between the Alumni Association and alumni by sponsoring student scholarships and special programs. The club seeks to follow the 6 “C”s of building the alumni base through service and community (Camaraderie, Continuing Education, Community Service, Current Student Support, Communications, and Catholic/Christian Spirituality).

To accomplish these goals we need your support and leadership. The club has been successful because of the efforts of fellow alumni. Please join us in membership and help grow our alumni presence in Atlanta.  Benefits of club membership include access to the Ticket Auction, first notice of available tickets, career search networking, event discounts, and club leadership opportunities.

Annual Ticket Auction

The University ticket lottery results are now available online. If you got shut out, we have tickets available in the club ticket auction.  This year the club will have 50 tickets to the USC game in South Bend on October 22, a night game!

There will be two auctions, one for the Gold members (20 tickets total) and one for all other members (30 tickets total).  We will be utilizing the Dutch auction method for each auction.  This means that the lowest clearing price will be the price paid by all ticket applicants.  For example, if 10 people bid $100, 10 people bid $90, and 10 people bid $85, and 10 people bid $80, the lowest amount that will clear all the tickets is $85, so each person that bid $85 and over will be given the opportunity to purchase the tickets at the clearing price.  If the number of tickets subscribed in the Gold auction is less than the number of tickets available, the balance of the tickets will roll over to the general auction.

The minimum bid is $90. (Any funds paid in excess of the $70 face value+shipping will be directed to the club’s general fund and will be considered tax deductible.)  Each member can bid for either 2 or 4 tickets.  You must be a 2011-2012 dues paying member to participate.  If you are not a member yet, please visit the “Join the Club” page on the website.  All bids from non-members will be ignored.  In the event that the clearing price has several bids at that value, and including these bids results in greater demand that tickets available, a random draw of the bids at the clearing value will be conducted to determine the winners

The Lottery is now open and will run through 6pm on Friday, August 12th.  To bid, fill out the form below.  You can bid as many times as you want, but your last bid will be the bid that is taken into account.  The clearing price will be periodically announced via club communications, including the website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Winners will be notified by email with instructions to submit payment for the tickets.  Payment for the winners must be completed by August 23rd.  If payment is not received, the next person in the auction will be given the chance to purchase the tickets.

Tickets will be delivered to the address provided in the bid upon receipt of payment.
