At Coerver we pride ourselves on being the World’s Number One Technical Soccer Development program. To ensure our high standards are maintained we continually develop our Coaches. In this newsletter check out the areas our Coaches have been working on recently.

COERVER ® Coaching Performance Academy Boys Youth Squad was chosen from the National Camp in Canberra in January 2011. The boys squad will head to Chelsea FC in October. See below for more details.

Chelsea FC legend and Coerver Co-Founder Charlie Cooke will be in Canberra in January 2012 for the Coerver Coaching Performance Academy National Camp.

Song of Chelsea The Coerver Coaching Performance Academy Youth Squad head to Chelsea FC in October.

Players chosen from the National Camp (January 2011) in Canberra, will tour Stamford Bridge, take in an English Premier League game, train with the Chelsea Academy Coaching staff and will take on five teams in London including AFC Wimbledon and Coerver UK.

The players, who come from Canberra, Sydney, the Central Coast and the Illawarra region will also take in the many magnificent cultural sights of London.

Coaching Development at Coerver Coaching

Coerver Coaching is the World’s Number One Technical Skills Soccer program. Like any organisation we must keep training and educating our staff. In 2011 all Coerver Coaches completed:

Diploma in Youth Development - Facilitator Alfred Galustian Behaviour Management Seminar - Facilitator Simon Bugden Passing Techniques (3 hours) - Facilitator Tom Crossley

How do you coach up to 20 players with one coach? This is one question I’m often asked. All our Coaches take on-going training in group behaviour management.

Primary School Teacher and Coerver Coach Simon “Bugsy” Bugden recently ran a seminar on the latest in Behaviour Management. Simon covered a range of behaviour management techniques with all our coaches including:

Valuing each participant - Use of positive language with and by the Players - Modelling appropriate behaviour - Organisation and planning sessions - working with both genders.
