Notice of Annual General Meeting, 30 March 2011
Today we posted the formal notice of our next AGM which will be held on Wednesday 30 March 2011 at Daylesford Town Hall. Please let us know if do not receive this mailing in the next few days.
The AGM promises to be an informative event. Prominent environmentalist Rob Gell will provide the keynote presentation and long-time director Brett Dutton (who builds wind farms for a living) will talk us through the building of our wind farm with multimedia updates on the project.
You can download the papers for the meeting at hepburnwind.com.au/agm-march-2011
We are delighted to again have a strong field of candidates standing for the three positions on the board which fall vacant. Statements by nominees can be accessed at the above link.
Join us to view and celebrate the construction!
In less than two weeks we expect the cranes to arrive on site, followed by the nacelles, blades and tower sections. It’s taken us six years to get to this point, but the most exciting part — assembling the turbines — will happen very quickly. It will be quite a sight and worthy of celebration.
We won’t know exactly when until a few days before, but when it happens, we plan to put down some picnic rugs, fire up the barbecue, open a few bottles and celebrate as we watch the cranes assemble our turbines. We’d love to share the moment with our members. Please register here if you’d like to be notified of the arrangements.
Get up close to our turbines
We are also offering members a tour of the site on the day of the AGM, by which time we anticipate that both turbines will be erected. We will be leaving the Town Hall at 4.15pm and returning at 5.15pm in time for you to grab some dinner at one of our fine local eateries. Please indicate on the AGM RSVP form if you would like to attend the site visit as well.
