The Ginger People are engaging in more organic conversations. We’re also expanding our product range to include more organic options. In July, we will begin a partnership with “
An Organic Conversation” as a sponsor of the popular radio program and social media network focused on organics.
To celebrate our growing focus on organic ginger, we invited the anchors of “An Organic Conversation,” inspirational speaker and author Helge Hellberg and produce expert Marck Mulchay, to be guest judges at our May Employee Cook-Off featuring organic produce. Each entry paired organic ginger from our Pantry Essential ingredient range with an organic ingredient supplied to us by local produce purveyor Serendipity Farms. Entries included Kolrabi Ginger Relish, Orange Ginger Marmalade, Ginger-Spiced Kale Chips, Quinoa Ginger Salad, Carrot Potato Ginger Soup and Chocolate Orange Ginger Tart. The winning entry was a
Ginger Matar (Indian-style potato and peas) wrapped in phyllo and served with Mango Ginger Chutney.
May 2011 Cook-Off winning dish,
Ginger Matar.
