2012 Voter Registration Drive

[Saturday, March 3, 2012]

In an effort to ensure District of Columbia and Maryland residents are registered to vote, Thursday Network will assist residents in renewing, re-certifying and registering with their respective districts. The Social Action/Civic Engagement Committee will target those groups who are statistically under-represented in voter activity. To increase awareness about public policies affecting residents, we are hosting non-partisan voter registration drives throughout the Greater Washington DC area for election cycles throughout the year.

We are currently recruiting teams to help kick-off the voter registration drives on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Robert Walker Senior Citizens Complex and Sunrise Senior Living Center, and on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Prince George's Community College.

Each year the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP) chapters collectively participate in community service on the same day to show the nation that young professionals DO give back to our communities. We are seeking volunteers who work in a STEM field to help demonstrate the various academic and professional possibilities with a background in STEM disciplines.
