I have tried to streamline my newsletter and make it easier for everyone to read. I also hope it will be easier for you to contact me about the things that interest you the most. And give you the option to see flyers, postcards, etc. when you want more information.
This has been a financially difficult year for a great many people, including artists. Although I did sell a few pieces this year, my real support has come from my students. I've been lucky enough to have enough students to keep classes going at the La Quinta Senior Center. Not to mention the many classes and workshops at our local communities such as Sun City Shadow Hills and Trilogy.
This will continue in January with a painting class at Trilogy La Quinta and a workshop at Redlands Art Association. If you or someone you know are interested in having a class or workshop at your community, please email me, joakes13@verizon.net.
As this year draws to close I would like to thank you all for your support and wish you and your families a very Happy Holiday Season and a healthy, prosperous New Year!

Painting Workshop in Mexico, All That's Missing is You!

Just in time for the Holidays I am offering 4 paintings from Landscapes Series 1 for $75 each. The paintings are Open Desert 22x30, Desert Lawn 18x24, Forgotten Route I & II (set of 2-11x14) and Oasis Trail 16x20. These pieces were originally priced between $300 - $450 and are framed and ready for hanging! Just go to the gallery page of my website to view these pieces. Progress Continues on "Beyond the Border - Landscapes from Mexico"
To date I have about 12 pieces completed or nearly complete. In the past I have released images of new paintings as I finished them. This time I have decided to unveil the entire series at once. Hopefully the release of this new series will coincide with the opening of the show by the same name. I don't have a date yet but hope to have one soon. Check my blog or website often for new information.

Times are tough for all of us but if you really love a piece of art, make it part of your life! We can workout a payment plan for your purchase or you can make a small deposit now and pay the balance in 30 or 60 days.
